This month marks not one, but two milestones for the cloudnumbering family. As we celebrate our company's second birthday, we're also raising a glass of something pink, bubbly and very on-brand to our Managing Director Lee Greenfield as he turns 50.
This month marks not one, but two milestones for the cloudnumbering family. As we celebrate our company's second birthday, we're also raising a glass of something pink, bubbly and very on-brand to our Managing Director Lee Greenfield, who's apparently turning 50, but absolutely doesn’t look a day over 49!
Two years ago, cloudnumbering began as an ambitious vision: to create a virtual mobile numbers platform that actually worked the way businesses like yours needed it to. No hidden costs, no unnecessary complexity, no vendor lock-in — just straightforward, reliable virtual numbers backed by our exclusive partnership with Three UK.
After working tirelessly to lay the foundations of our product, we're thrilled to announce that we've successfully navigated through our beta phase and we are now in our public launch. This isn't just a milestone, it's validation that our no-nonsense approach to virtual mobile numbers is exactly what the market has been waiting for.
The feedback from our beta partners has been overwhelmingly positive. As Andreas from MoreMins put it: "I was impressed by the professionalism of the team, when dealing with both technical and commercial queries." Meanwhile, José from eSIM Go praised our "rock-solid API with consistent response times," adding that we give them "confidence as a business."
Building a telecoms platform from the ground up isn't for the faint-hearted. We've learned that success in this industry comes down to three fundamental principles:
Transparency Above All: Our customers consistently tell us they appreciate our straightforward pricing with no hidden surprises. In an industry notorious for unexpected charges, this apparently makes us somewhat of a (pink) unicorn.
Simplicity Sells: Our intuitive management dashboard wasn't an accident — it was designed from the ground up with users like you in mind. Why complicate things when you can streamline them?
Partnership Power: Our relationship with Three UK, combined with our team's 30+ years of industry experience, gives us the technical backbone and credibility that enterprise customers demand.
More of a personal milestone, our MD Lee Greenfield is celebrating his golden anniversary this year. He's in excellent company — 2025 marks the 50th birthday for some pretty iconic things. Classic films like Jaws are turning 50 this year, along with legendary albums from Bob Dylan, David Bowie, and Bruce Springsteen. Just like Bruce, our Boss has a well earned reputation for being incredibly hardworking, and a no nonsense approach to getting stuff done right. Between navigating Three UK partnerships, perfecting our API, and ensuring our customers never face billing surprises, we reckon he’s earned a day off or two to celebrate.
As we enter our third year, we know it will be our busiest yet. Our roadmap includes:
—Enhanced API Features: More endpoints, better documentation, and even faster response times
—Expanded Number Availability: Working with our partners to offer virtual numbers in new regions
—Advanced Dashboard Capabilities: Because we believe management interfaces should be intuitive, not intimidating
—Industry-Specific Solutions: Tailored packages for sectors like delivery services, customer support, and mobile app developers
None of this would be possible without our incredible customers, partners, and team members who believed in our vision when we were just a bunch of notes in Google Doc. Your feedback, patience during our beta phase, and continued trust have been the driving force behind everything we've achieved.
As we blow out our candles (just two of them, there wasn’t room for all of Lee’s), we're not just celebrating where we've been – we're excited about where we're going. The next chapter of cloudnumbering promises to be our most ambitious yet.
Here's to simple solutions, transparent pricing, and never having to worry about your virtual number provider again. And here's to Lee – may your fifties be as successful as your forties, just with slightly less startup stress!
