That’s not Lee by the way, that’s wrestler, actor and entrepreneur The Rock. You may have heard of him. Turns out he knows a thing or two about success.
Lee is our Managing Director, and he’s got over 30 years of telecoms experience. Working for UK MNOs across SME and Enterprise sectors, in business sales and wholesale, managing teams, suppliers and customers.
As cloudnumbering is now weeks away from revealing our brand new UK Virtual Mobile Number, Voice and SMS platform, we thought who better to launch our new website and blog, than the man leading the way, our hard working MD. We caught up with Lee in-between putting the final touches to our new branding and website, onboarding new partners, and interviewing and supporting our first employees, to find out how we got to here, and what’s next.
It’s not that Lee isn’t ambitious or driven, quite the opposite, but it’s obvious that MNOs and corporations are where Lee felt he was doing his best work. But as his career developed from consumer sales, SMB business then Enterprise, through to indirect sales and wholesale and back again, it was clear that the vast knowledge and skills he collected along the way, were preparing him for new challenges.
Lee decided the time was right to leave the corporate world and begin a new journey, joining a small but successful group of entrepreneurs and innovators, launching cloudnumbering with the vision of becoming the top choice for virtual mobile numbers. It wasn’t where he’d expected to be maybe, but in such a short space of time he’s already achieved a lot, and he knows the best is yet to come. He genuinely believes in the product, building a platform and team that puts the customer first, with innovative digital services, transparent pricing, automation and improved support.
So what is next? We’re launching Spring 2024, and we know that the hardest work begins then. I asked Lee where he saw himself in another 18 months and he said, “I can’t really say as you never know what’s around the corner when working in a startup. But to quote Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, ‘success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come.'”
